Sitka intercepts visible gold in first drill hole of 2024 drilling campaign at RC Gold in Yukon

Sitka Gold's (TSX-V: SIG ) RC Gold Project covers 386 square kilometres, with multiple intrusion-related targets located within the Yukon's Tombstone Gold Belt. A pit-constrained resource delineated 1.34 million gold ounces, at 0.68 grams per tonne, are contained within the Blackjack and Eiger deposits. 

VP, Corporate Development Mike Burke spoke to Kitco at the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) conference 2024.

Sitka just acquired a new listing on the TSX Venture Exchange. The company currently has $7.5 million in the treasury and plans to drill up to 15,000m at its flagship RC Gold Property in Yukon this year. (note: we also drill at our Nevada property and have properties in Arizona and Nunavut as well).

"We are the only drill project happening in the Yukon in the winter right now," Burke said. "We're in the Tombstone Gold Belt, well known for some of the discoveries that are going on. Fort Knox mine in Alaska, Victoria Gold, the Snowline discovery, Banyan Gold. So it's a very active belt of rocks that's been having a lot of success, and we've discovered a new deposit there ourselves."

While gold deposits in the area tend to be lower grade (sub 1 gram per tonne), Burke said Sitka has found an intrusion-related deposit that is higher than the average grade.

The project is a two-hour drive from Dawson City, accessible from the Klondike Highway. With 7.5 million in the treasury, gold at an all time high and visible gold in the first drill hole at RC Gold the company is looking forward to a very exciting 2024!
